This naturally processed microlot hails from Beneficio San Diego, one of the most modern and largest coffee mills in Costa Rica. Established in 1888, Beneficio San Diego specializes in the Tarrazu and Tres Rios areas and takes pride in its innovative spirit in coffee milling and processing. The mill is constantly striving to further quality standards while working with producers to improve quality and sustainability at the farm level. This particular microlot comes from the Tarrazu region. Located in the country’s highlands, the Tarrazu region is considered the nursery of Costa Rican coffees. Farms here are an average of 3 hectares and this unique naturally processed coffee is produced by a community of smallholder farmers delivering their ripe cherry to San Diego.
