Kariru Kenya

Coffee Story

Coffee Story

With notes of berry jam, lavender, and honey, this coffee represents all that is exemplary in a classic Kenya profile. Over 900 smallholder farmers deliver ripe cherries to the Kariru factory, one of 12 factories belonging to the Baragwi Cooperative Society, near the Mount Kenya Forest Reserve in Kirinyaga. Grown at 1800 meters above sea level in red volcanic soils, this coffee is lush with a rich berry complexity.
