Award-winning microlot-La Soledad Colombia! This special coffee recently won 10th place in the Land of Diversity Competition in Colombia, the only competition in Colombia open to every single coffee grower from every region. In its fifth year, 1610 coffee growers from 12 different departments participated with their best coffees at Land of Diversity. Winning 10th place meant grower Elpidio Arboleda Tabares’ coffee stood out among thousands of coffees! This stunning coffee is elegant and balanced with notes of pineapple, white peach, matcha, lavender, red pear, vanilla, and papaya.

Tabares owns an 8 hectare farm in Antioquia on the western mountain range of Colombia. The high altitude and winds coming in from the Pacific Ocean create a micro climate conducive to producing excellent coffees. Tabares employs a unique processing strategy where he depulps and ferments his coffee in batches, mixing the freshly depulped loads with coffee that has already been fermented. The total fermentation time is 72 hours. After washing the coffee, the seeds are sun-dried on raised beds.
