Coffee Story

Coffee Story

Introducing an amazing direct trade micro-lot coffee from our good friend and coffee grower Ricardo Ariz. Up in the clouds of El Salvador’s Santa Ana region is Ariz’s farm El Aguila. (Walk some of the farm with Michael here.) This special coffee is an SL-28, a coffee variety that originated in Kenya and is among the most well-regarded African varieties. This exceptional coffee exemplifies all that is renowned about the SL-28 (think intense black currant and berry) and the unique flavors that represent the terroir of El Salvador. Tasting notes: berries and caramel with a rich/syrupy body and sweet-tart acidity.
